Established in the late Edo period in 1825 (Bunsei 8), the Shimono family residence has been a testament to the history of a branch of the Shimono family involved in the "Doto Shinden Kaitaku" (cultivation of new fields).

Since 2005 (Heisei 17), it has transformed into a vibrant hub for the exchange and dissemination of people, culture, and history through rakugo (comic storytelling), concerts, and workshops.

This marks the final event curated and managed by Mr. Uenuma, who has been actively involved in organizing music events. It also signifies the beginning of a new journey.
